What is a Netbook? A Netbook is a small, wireless laptop that is designed to be used to stay connected to the Internet while on the go.
It can be used for shopping, chatting online, or even just surfing the net. It is a cost effective way to still be able to find information on the web when you need to be moving around. The Netbooks are great for gathering information on the Internet but they are not good if you are trying to put information on the Internet.
The screens on many of them have full sized, super-bright LCD screens that provide you with a sharp picture. Although the battery life will vary depending on the model, some of them offer up to eight hours of surfing time on a single charge.
The fact the Netbooks are light weight makes it perfect for when you travel for business or for just lounging at home. Some weigh as little as 2 lbs.
The Keyboard is regular size so you can surf the web with speed and they boast a large memory so you won’t run out of storage room.
I found that the Netbook is the perfect alternative for my teenage son. He can look up what he needs to when he is doing his homework and chat with his friends when he’s not and I can still get on my computer when I need to. I was even able to buy one for under $450.
It’s a solution that makes everyone happy especially since a cheap laptop will still run you seven hundred dollars.
A netbook is a great thing if you do not plan on making charts and you don’t need data software. For my work I will stick with a laptop but for my son to get on the Internet and play, he gets the netbook.
